Construction Styles
We feature six different manufacturing styles as shown below.
Diamond Pattern
11 Gauge vertical slats 1 1/2" wide with 3/4" spaces between. Diamond shapes crisscross the vertical slats.
Expanded Metal9 Gauge steel that forms a crisscross pattern.
Perforated Metal
11 Gauge steel with 1/2" holes on staggered centers 1" apart.
Rod Style
1/2" Steel rods welded to their frame.
Wire Style
Heavy-duty wire crisscross welded to their frame and formed to the shape of the product.
Welded Style
Any products fabricated by welding individual formed strips of steel together.
Mounting Styles
We feature several different mounting styles as shown below.

Portable Mount

Portable mounts may have surface mount holes in the legs of the furniture, but if the pieces are not secured with bolts and anchors, the furniture may be moved anywhere. Furniture with a tubular understructure has no surface mounting holes. Portable mount furniture can be placed on any surface.

Surface Mount

Most surface mount fixtures have holes in the legs of the furniture for bolts to be inserted into anchors embedded in concrete. When installing, holes must be drilled in concrete surfaces to embed anchors for the bolts. Furniture with tubular understructure has discs welded to the understructure which rest flat on the ground so that bolts and anchors can then be secured through the discs. Surface mount furniture is placed on a concrete surface.

In-Ground Mount

In-ground mounted furniture resembles surface mounted fixtures but include "J-rods" inserted through the surface mount holes or discs on a piece of furniture. The bottom of the J-rod is then embedded in a hole filled with concrete. When the concrete cures, the shape of the J-rod ensures the security of the furniture. Benches that have tubular legs and are in-ground mounted do not use J-rods. Instead, the understructure ends in approximately 18 extra inches of tubing (see below) with a piece of flatbar welded to the bottom end. A deep hole is then dug and filled with concrete. The bench is then set in the concrete to cure. In-ground mount furniture is placed on a grass or dirt surface.

Why Thermoplastic Coating?

Leisure Craft's outdoor furniture is covered in a copolymer-based thermoplastic powder coating. Thermoplastic is environmentally safe. The coating will not fade, crack, peel, warp, or discolor for the life of the product. Thermoplastic has the best adhesion rate of any other process. This keeps the metal base free of any corrosion possibilities. Thermoplastic is applied at a thickness of 25-30 mils. This allows maximum protection with the best possible surface. Thermoplastic can be easily repaired. Cuts are repaired by heating the affected area with an industrial heat gun. The thermoplastic will melt and rebind itself. The properties of thermoplastic also make spray painting difficult for vandals. Simply wash product with a standard industrial cleaner.

The thermoplastic coating is placed over galvanized steel for the longevity of the product furnishings.

If spray paint is applied to the thermoplastic coating, it is very easy to remove using a common aerosol. Simply spray WD-40™ on the offending graffiti. ...and watch as the dried paint is quickly eliminated from the thermoplastic surface. It's simple and SAFE!
